Just like the clouds hide the face of the sun from you. So can our thoughts hide the face of the Lord from us.

That is why the word of God found in 2 Cor. 10:5 tells us. Cast down every imagination that exalts itself against the knowledge of God. Paul was saying do not let Satan bring fearful thoughts or doubtful thoughts to your mind cast them down. Don’t listen to him.

Cast down thoughts that separate the face of Lord from you. When fear arises, you can’t feel the warmth of the Lord.

Faith opens the door to feel God’s presence. You can’t feel the great warmth from the sun when there are clouds. It doesn’t mean the sun isn’t there it’s that the clouds are covering the sun so you can’t see or feel it’s warmth.

The same with the face of the Lord. Our thoughts, how we think, separate us from feeling His warmth. It does not mean He isn’t there. He promises to never leave you or forsake you. He is with you always.
