Psalms 27:1-3 The Lord is my light and Salvation whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life of whom shall I be afraid? When my enemies advance against me to devour me they shall stumble and fall. When war shall rise against me, my heart shall not fear.
God is for us. No one can stand against us. David said in the midnight hour I called and God answered me and heard my cry. God always hears our cry. Abraham had a son called Ishmael by Hagar. God had promised Abraham that he would bless Ishmael even though he was not the promised seed because he was Abraham’s seed. There came a time when Ishmael was seen mocking Isaac by Sarah. So Sarah told Abraham to tell them they were to leave.
God told Abraham to do as Sarah had ask for Isaac was the promise child. Hagar and the child was sent away with food and water. She was wondering in the desert of Beersheba, when they ran out of water. She put Ishmael under a bush and went a ways off because she could not stand to see her child die. God heard Ishmael crying and He told Hagar go get the boy and take him by the hand for I’m going to make him a great nation. Then God opened her eyes and she saw a well of water and she went and filled her container with water and gave to the boy. God was with the boy as he grew up and became a great nation.
Now what I want you to see, God always hears when His seed cries. And you are Abraham’s seed because of Jesus and when you cry out to God He will always hear you.
If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise. So you can rest assured that God always hears your cry. He tells us in His word in Psalms 34:15 The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their cry. You and I are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. You can rest assured, God hears your cry and He will come through for you….
